How to get your site indexed by Google faster
To get indexed faster: verify your site in Google Search Console, submit a sitemap, request indexing for key pages with the URL Inspection tool, link to new pages from pages already indexed, and earn links from other sites that Google crawls often. For Bing (and the AI assistants that use its index), use Bing Webmaster Tools and IndexNow.

Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode only use indexed pages. ChatGPT, Copilot and other assistants rely on indexes too, Bing's among them. A page that is not indexed cannot be cited. See Google AI Overviews and AI crawlers and robots.txt.
Questions people ask
How long does Google take to index a new site?
From a few days to several weeks. Links from established sites and a submitted sitemap speed it up.
Does requesting indexing guarantee it?
No. It asks Google to crawl the page; Google still decides whether to index it.
